Multicultural Therapy
Together we look at how culture, ethnicity, race, and heritage have shaped how you see yourself and the world around you, welcoming every part of who you are instead of asking you to pick one. When conversations with family or community get hard, I also draw on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to help you express your needs and hear others with honesty and care.
Acculturation & Assimilation Stress
We make space for the weight of carrying your family's culture alongside a mainstream one that doesn't always welcome it: the code-switching, the guilt, the tiredness no one sees, so you can move between worlds and still feel like yourself.
First- & Second-Generation Experiences
We explore the expectations, obligations, and identity tensions that often come with being an immigrant or a child of immigrants, and the self you're ready to grow into.
Third Culture Kid (TCK) Support
If you grew up in a culture that wasn't quite your parents' or your passport's, belonging may never have felt simple. We work toward a sense of home that doesn't hinge on one answer to "where are you from?"
Intergenerational Trauma
With care, we look at the pain, expectations, and unspoken rules handed down through your family, not to blame anyone, but to understand what you inherited and decide what you want to keep.
Here, you don't have to make yourself smaller to be understood.
